Japanese Green Teas
Can largely be divided into two broad categories:
Tend towards more “soft” or subtle aromas, as well as sweet or umami flavours.
Refreshingly aromatic and sharp, tends towards more vegetal or herbacious notes.
Sencha: are often described as “sharp” or “astringent”
- Guricha: also known as “curly tea”
(There are a lot of teas that can fall outside these categories.)
