Yabe no mukashi
This tea is a gyokuro from Yabe, Yame, Fukuoka, Japan.
Preparation Details: I followed Cha Do Raku’s preparation suggestions, with roughly 5 g per 120 mL of water:
- 1st infusion: 50 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes
- 2nd infusion: 60 degrees Celsius for 2 minutes
The tea was nutty, buttery, and absolutely lovely. Had a smoothness and roundness that is always so pleasant in a gyokuro/shaded green tea. A really lovely find!
